Keene Memorial Library Local Author Fair Recap

What a joy it was to spend a Saturday in Fremont

at the first inaugural Keene Memorial Library Local Author Fair. I spent the day connecting with other local authors and readers. I met authors who were at their very first event and authors who were long time veterans. Special shout out to Chris Poole, author of Bicentennial Summer, who was my neighbor across the aisle. We traded books and he’s going to be trying out some poetry with mine. I’m going to be reading his novel along with my father, who has his own bicentennial summer memories to share.

It was really just a special day. It was nice to get my work out there and sell a few books as well as magnets and some other things from the shop. I gave all my proceeds back to the library as promised and I really hope I can come back next year. It was a nice, small event that was very well-attended and it had a very nice vibe.
